This article is dedicated to the use of basic vocal neuromuscular coordination in working with patients with functional dysphonias, specifically in the correction of voice function. The importance of voice therapy as an effective method for correcting voice disorders is emphasized. The author provides a definition of vocal neuromuscular coordination. The article describes specific exercises and their algorithms that the author has used for many years in working with patients with functional voice disorders. The principles of using exercises for basic vocal neuromuscular coordination are described, and their effectiveness is illustrated with a specific case-study.
