This article examines the influence of medical aspects, particularly paranoia and somatic illness, on Salvador Dali’s work. It analyses how the artist's personal experiences, his neurotic conditions and his scientific interests in medicine were reflected in his surrealist paintings. The study focuses on the symbolic interpretation of medical images and motifs in Dali’s works, and the relationship between his psychological state and artistic expression. It is emphasized that understanding the medical context of Dali’s work allows us to penetrate deeper into the meaning and content of his works, revealing new facets of his genius.
