Терапия искусствами представляет собой активно развивающуюся область психологической поддержки. Этот подход получил широкую популярность, в том числе благодаря исследованиям известного швейцарского психиатра, основоположника аналитической психологии К.Г. Юнга. В данной статье представлены его взгляды и принципы взаимоотношения с искусством, культурой и собственным «Я». Подчеркнута значимость принципа симметрии в контексте аналитической психологии Юнга. Также изложены современные исследования в области психологии восприятия симметрии через призму психофизических и эволюционных подходов.

Art therapy is an actively developing area of psychological support. This approach has gained wide popularity, including thanks to the research of the famous Swiss psychiatrist, the founder of analytical psychology, C.G. Jung. This article presents his views and principles of relationship with art, culture and one's own "I". The importance of the principle of symmetry in the context of Jung's analytical psychology is emphasized. It also presents modern research in the field of psychology of symmetry perception through the prism of psychophysical and evolutionary approaches.
